Is WeMuv™ safe?

As part of its commitment to creating a safe online environment for children and their families, WeMuv offers two chat options:

We are committed to ensuring a safe online environment for children to play, learn and interact. Computerized filters and moderators will work to ensure appropriate online behaviour. Comments that could be offensive to some players may occasionally get through. In order to limit and protect participants, WeMuv™ employs highly trained onsite staff to monitor activity and chat. Players can block other users and submit reports of possible misconduct. We receive and review reports of misconduct, and provide personalized player support. Players who engage in inappropriate behaviour may have their chat privileges suspended or they may be banned from the site. All online chat and text messages are recorded.

WeMuv™ offers 2 chat options for players:

Quick Chat for Travelers:

Scripted chat where users select from a list of available greetings, comments, questions and answers.

Open Travelers’ Chat:

Users may type their own messages to other users. Parent authorization is required for Open Traveler’s chat. Open Traveler’s Chat is only available to members with a valid passport.

Personal Safety Online

We encourage parents to review the following safety precautions with their children:

• Never give out personal information, such as your real name, age, location, phone number or school.
• Never share your password with anyone except your parents. Someone else might use your password, pretend to be you and give out your personal information or do something that may get you into trouble.
• Tell your parents if someone says or does something on the Internet that makes you uncomfortable, or if someone asks you for personal information.
• Choose a username that does not reflect your real identity. Avoid names that are in any way suggestive, even if they seem innocent to you.
• Avoid chat rooms that are not monitored by moderators.
